Ranked in the top 3 in both Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles on the PPA Tour, Catherine Parenteau is one of the most accomplished and recognized players in professional pickleball today.
Previously ranked in the top 5 for tennis in Canada, Catherine now competes full-time on the PPA Tour and serves as the team captain for the MLP’s LA Mad Drops. A 53-time PPA Tour gold medalist, she owns two career triple crowns and is the second most decorated female in pickleball. She also helped lead the LA Mad Drops to an MLP Championship title.
Catherine Parenteau grew up in Montreal, Canada and was introduced to the game of tennis at the age of four. Her love and passion for the game grew immensely over the years—she is a born athlete. As her dedication to the sport pursued, her talent called for country-wide recognition. Catherine was later recruited by a top 25 Division I NCAA team, the University of Arkansas. One year later, she transferred to Michigan State University where she felt she would be better suited. She competed with the MSU Women’s Tennis Team for the following three years when she was introduced to pickleball by her former tennis coach, Simone Jardim. A natural on the court, Catherine’s love for pickleball sparked immediately. She started playing in October 2016 and only six months later was competing in the US Open, one of the biggest and most competitive pickleball tournaments in the world. She won the 5.0 mixed bracket, and her career soared. Since then, Catherine is a 3x US Open Champion, a 2x National Champion, and a 53x PPA Tour gold medalist.
Known for her upbeat personality and relentless grit, Parenteau brings both joy and intensity to the court, making her a fan favorite across the country. Currently based in Miami, FL, she continues to chase excellence on tour and inspire the next generation of players.
